Happy Friday! I mentioned in Wednesday’s post that today I would be sharing some thoughts on postpartum fitness. So, here goes…

I haven’t focused on fitness much on here, even though it’s always been a huge part of my life. I started this blog to help mamas find their style, even in the crazy chaos of motherhood. A huge part of style is confidence and feeling great about yourself. It really doesn’t matter what you wear. If you feel good, you look good.

After I had Harper, the pounds melted off. Granted, I was breastfeeding and she had some sort of intolerance so I gave up all dairy and soy for 5 months, which helped a whole lot. I also had more time to work out, having only one child to keep track of.

This time it’s been harder. I’ve been struggling to drop the last 15 pounds. I think I assumed it was going to be easier, like last time, so it’s hit me a bit harder that it’s taking me longer this time.

Here’s the deal…

For the month of April, I’ve challenged myself to workout or MOVE every single day for the whole month. I know, that might sound crazy, but stick with me. I don’t expect to spend an hour in the gym or pound the pavement every day. But, I do want to get my heart rate up and sweat a little bit every single day.

In the hopes of having some accountability and maybe even inspiring some of you to join me, I’ve decided to document my April fitness progress right here on the blog.

What will that look like?

I’ll share a weekly Fitness Friday update about how I’m feeling, what challenges I’m facing, what’s going right, along with some progress pics (EEEK).

Each week, I’ll also share my postpartum fitness schedule for the upcoming week. I’ve found that if I take the time to plan the workouts and write them down, I’m way more likely to follow through.

(You don’t need to go to the gym or have a home gym. Some of my very favorite workouts are online and are absolutely free.)

Of course, I’ll share my latest fitness gear, because what’s more motivating than cute new clothes to wear for the workouts??

And, if you follow me on Instagram,  you’ll see daily workout pics and videos on my Insta-Stories. Get ready for some not-so-cute sweaty selfies. 😉

So, what about nutrition?

I’m breastfeeding, which makes it hard and unhealthy to focus on drastically cutting calories. Overall, my diet is pretty clean, with the exception of dark chocolate every single day.  I will be making some healthy tweaks here and there, and I’ll be sharing those with you, as well.

What do you guys think? Are you up for the challenge?

THANK YOU for supporting me by visiting my little corner of the web. Here goes nothing!
