The Perfect Denim Jacket + Peplum Tee

Hi, friends! This weekend was one for the books. It wasn’t anything super special, but it was filled with a whole lot of quality time with my little family. The whole weekend I had so many of those #blessed moments. You know those, right? The Mister and I even made time to sneak out for a quick date night. Pretty damn good. 

I posted this peplum tee on my Facebook page last week because I couldn’t wait to share the love, and it was a hit. And guess what? It comes in a long sleeve version for fall, too. SO CUTE. 

Each season, I make a list of the items that I want to add to my closet. This spring, a denim jacket was at the top of that list. Yes, I already have one, but it’s a light wash and I’ve been wanting a more classic one for a while.

Well, the search is over. YOU GUYS. This denim jacket is less than $40, and when I tell you it’s perfect, I mean it’s perrrrr-fect. The wash is just right – not too dark and not too light. (Oh, the struggle.) And the fit isn’t boxy like some denim jackets can be. I am wearing a small because I wanted to make sure I can wear it with sweater in the fall (and tomorrow, if you also live in Chicago). The sleeves are just a bit short, which I like, because it makes cuffing them easier. Highly, highly recommend this bad boy. Get ready to see it on the blog a whole lot…

And, of course, my trusty Converse. (If you’re still rocking the old school Con’s, you need to check out this version. They won’t feel like your feet are paddles. Much more comfortable and feminine.)
