Hi, friends! Let’s talk postpartum style. It’s tough, right? I’m in between my entire closet fitting me and most of my maternity clothes being too big (and really never wanting to see them again, anyway).

Well, I’ve had 6 weeks to experiment with what works and what doesn’t, what makes me feel like ME again and what makes me feel like I want to hide until these extra pounds are gone.

So today I’m sharing my 5 key pieces that will help get you through this awkward phase with style and comfort. Double win.

I’d love to hear what you guys love for postpartum style. Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for stopping by!

FLOWY TOPS

Flowy top and denim

Flowy Tunic (newer version here) | Denim

When you’ve got some extra pounds that you’re not used to, flowy tops save the day. For fall, I’m all about the cozy tunic sweaters.  Free People tops are perfect for postpartum style. I have this tunic and I LOVE it.

BUTTON DOWN SHIRTS

Nursing tank, shirt, leggings

Shirt (similar here) | Nursing tank | Leggings | Watch | Bracelet | Necklace

Like the wrap, I rely on a good ol’ button down shirt to help me hide a multitude of sins. And, it looks stylish and polished so you can totally fool the rest of the world into thinking you’ve got it all together.

HIGH RISE BLACK LEGGINGS

Peplum top, leggings and mules

Top (similar here) | Leggings | similar shoes

Life and style savers. Plain and simple. I have LIVED in these leggings this entire pregnancy, and I can’t recommend them enough. And, they’re easy on the wallet. You can’t go wrong.

I know. Maternity jeans. But they should also be called Postpartum jeans, because unless you’re a postpartum wonder, you’ll be in these babies for at least a month or 2 after you give birth. And guess what? THAT’S OK. And? NORMAL.

Striped tee, leggings, and cardigan

I’ve been living in this Ingrid & Isabel wrap (sold out, linked similar). It’s perfect to throw over the leggings I’ve worn 4 days in a row, and to cover up my spit up stained tees that I don’t have time to wash yet. (Gross, I know.) It can double as a nursing cover and works to help keep baby girl cozy when I’m wearing her in the carrier. So, whether you’re pregnant or postpartum, I can’t recommend a wrap enough. And when the weather warms up, a kimono does the trick, too.
