Hi, sweet friends. This Sunday Sweet Edit (and every other one) I’m wishing you a wonderful Sunday, whatever your plans may be. I have no plans today, which after a hectic last week, feels so damn good.

I felt like drinking my coffee out of my boob mug this morning, so here are more boob mugs. Ha.

on the podcasts…

So much 90’s nostalgia in this episode and a lot of laughs. I teach Jay about Jen Shah and her plea deal and he talks about Biden’s (latest) gaffe. Also, how are we going to celebrate the Gas Tax holiday?

The One With Trainspotting and Got Milk Brand New Information

Today Jay mourns the loss of edgy indie films with incredible soundtracks by marking the anniversary of the release of Trainspotting. Suzanne takes us back to one of the most iconic ad campaigns of all time – Got Milk. Jay wonders if Married With Children could ever exist today, and Suzanne delivers a very meta ‘on this day’ submission with Mission Impossible. Plus – Mom’s relationships with the granddogs, Jay’s parking lot dedication ceremony, and Suzanne’s astrology induced strep throat. Follow Jay on Instagram & Twitter, and Suzanne on Instagram!

My best friend of 41+ years is on The Sober Mom Life! We talk about growing up in Wisconsin and how alcohol is so much a part of the culture. We also talk about why we both stopped drinking within a month of each other, but didn’t talk about it…

The Sober Summer Series: Your First Sober Barbeque The Sober Mom Life

Fridays on the pod are now dedicated to all things summer! Sober summer, that is. Each week we’ll talk through a different summer experience so that you’ll feel ready to face it without a drink. Today we’re tackling how to prepare for your first sober barbeque, or cookout, or any daytime non-pool gathering where alcohol will be present. We’ll talk through how to prepare yourself before, during and after the event so that you can set yourself up for success. You’ll walk into that first sober barbeque knowing what you’re drinking, what to say, what to do with your hands, and even when to know that it’s time to leave. Get my deeper thoughts on your first sober barbeque over at my Sober Summer Series on Substack! one last thing…

A graphic that says, "I like who I'm becoming a lot."

As women, I think we tend to feel uncomfortable signing our own praises and being able to say that we’re proud of who we are and who we’re becoming.

Let’s flip the script.

I’m proud of who I’m becoming. I like her. She’s worked hard to get where she is today. She’s gone through a hell of a lot and has come out stronger and kinder.

Take some time to think of how far you’ve come. I’m proud of you, too.
