Hi, sweet friends! This Sunday Sweet Edit, Georgia is back home and happier than ever! (If you have a new puppy, I highly recommend investing in training. It helps. For real.)

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

on the podcasts…

Our mom is back on the podcast! We talk about the importance of grunge and Nirvana. I break down Will Smith’s apology (lame) and get way too candid about an Oscar winner who isn’t as he seems. Jay and Mom talk about the Kansas abortion vote and what it might signal.

The One With OJ Simpson and Dead Duck Day Brand New Information

Today Jay and Suzanne commemorate two infamous 1990s events – OJ Simpson’s Ford Bronco slow speed police chase and… Dead Duck Day? Plus, on this week’s Fibronostalgia – Did you know you could break a Hypercolor shirt? Jay and Suzanne know, because they did! And Suzanne’s fibronostalgia breaks the fourth wall to examine the meaning that nostalgia has in our lives. Follow Jay on Instagram & Twitter, and Suzanne on Instagram!

SobrieTEA: The Summer House Reunion The Sober Mom Life

Courtney joins me for another installment of SobrieTEA and we are two episodes into the Summer House reunion. It’s… a lot. So much so that we’re dedicating this entire episode to our reunion thoughts. We’ll talk about everything having to do with the Amanda and West controversy. Is West a pathy? (what is a ‘pathy’?) What kind of furniture was Meija building at West’s house (and how serious was their relationship?!)? Is this the reputation rehab that Kyle needed? Plus, we’ll discuss the refreshing amount of tears coming from the men of the show, and we’ll discuss the line when reality stops being fun and starts turning dark. Community makes all the difference. Join The Sober Mom Life Cafe for 6+ Peer Support meetings each week and a private Facebook group to connect with sober and sober-curious women. Sign up for our next ‘Fresh 30’ and ‘Beyond 30’ cohorts. It’s Back To School time! J.Crew is having their BTS sale and it’s all 40% off with code APLUS.

The e-book, The Art of Stopping Time, on a Kindle.

THE ART OF STOPPING TIME

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m in my 40’s or if it’s motherhood or both, but lately the passage of time is really freaking me out. For me, quitting alcohol is so much about attempting to slow it all down. I picked up this book last year at Miraval and I’m finally getting to it. It’s a 100 day journey – it sounds like a lot, but it takes 5 minutes in the morning and is such a simple way to change how I look at my life and time. I’m loving it.

Suzanne wearing a leopard one piece swimsuit, straw hat, and sunglasses

I’ve shared my favorite long torso (and regular torso!) swimsuit many times before, but I’m not going to stop because it’s that good. It’s on sale and in stock in most sizes. I also linked the solid colors below.
