on the podcasts…

Our mom is back on the podcast! We talk about the importance of grunge and Nirvana. I break down Will Smith’s apology (lame) and get way too candid about an Oscar winner who isn’t as he seems. Jay and Mom talk about the Kansas abortion vote and what it might signal.

The One With The Packers Brand New Information

Past, present and future, Suzanne is all about the Packers today. Jay and Suzanne reminisce about the classic 90s Packers team with Magic Man Don Majkowski and Brett Favre. Then they’ll make their predictions for what will happen during and after Saturday’s game against the Bears. Plus, Jay gives us his thoughts on The Counting Crows documentary and shares how EMDR has been affecting his life lately. Follow Jay on Instagram & Twitter, and Suzanne on Instagram!

The Impact of Sobriety on Parenting with Keesha Scott The Sober Mom Life

Certified parenting coach and the co-founder of Guardian Recovery Keesha Scott joins me today to share how her 23 years of sobriety have impacted her life, both personally and as a parent. For Keesha, sobriety opened up a path for her to finally feel her feelings. After over two decades of sobriety, she could never imagine wanting to hide from her feelings again. This ability to stare directly at the fear and insecurities that naturally arise in life has allowed her to show up in immense ways for both her family, her clients, and a wide community of people in the midst of their own recovery through Guardian Recovery. Check out my episode on Keesha’s podcast, Cake for Dinner! Community makes all the difference. Join The Sober Mom Life Cafe for 5+ Peer Support meetings each week and a private Facebook group to connect with sober and sober-curious women. Get Your Copy of my book! It’s Back To School time! J.Crew is having their BTS sale and it’s all 40% off with code APLUS.

The e-book, The Art of Stopping Time, on a Kindle.

THE ART OF STOPPING TIME

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m in my 40’s or if it’s motherhood or both, but lately the passage of time is really freaking me out. For me, quitting alcohol is so much about attempting to slow it all down. I picked up this book last year at Miraval and I’m finally getting to it. It’s a 100 day journey – it sounds like a lot, but it takes 5 minutes in the morning and is such a simple way to change how I look at my life and time. I’m loving it.

Suzanne wearing a leopard one piece swimsuit, straw hat, and sunglasses

I’ve shared my favorite long torso (and regular torso!) swimsuit many times before, but I’m not going to stop because it’s that good. It’s on sale and in stock in most sizes. I also linked the solid colors below.
