Hi, sweet friends! I took a break from The Sunday Sweet Edit last week, but we’re back today! A lot to catch up on… I hope you have a wonderful week!

on the podcasts…

You have two episodes to catch up on! Herschel Walker’s campaign is in trouble bc he’s a hypocrite (WHAT) and Kim K is a…crypto gifter. Whoa.

Last week, Jay brought us up to date on the Wisconsin Senate race and why it’s not looking great for the Dems. (Sorry, Mom.) Also: Kanye west needs to be cancelled.

The One With The Innernette and The Real World Brand New Information

Today Jay and Suzanne take you back to landmark 90s performances by Nirvana and Soul Asylum. Then, Jay helps us reminisce about the early internet (with the help of Tim & Eric), and Suzanne takes us back to the birth of reality TV with MTV’s The Real World. Plus – Which rocker had the best singing voice of the 90s? Why is Gen X such a forgotten generation? And how has Jay had Lyme Disease three times? Follow us on Instagram at @brandnewinformationpodFollow Jay on Instagram & Twitter, and Suzanne on Instagram!

SO MUCH GOOD STUFF on The Sober Mom Life! I chatted with Dr. Brooke Scheller about what alcohol does to our minds, bodies, hormones, gut health… literally EVERYTHING. Then I talk with Casey of The Hello Someday podcast! We talk about how damn hard new motherhood is (and she shares THE funniest story about her husband and I’m sure he loves that she’s made it public LOL).

Finally, our Real Sober Moms bonus episodes are here! It’s like The Real Housewives, without the booze and craziness. 🙂 We kick it off with Jayme – if you don’t relate to hitting rock bottom, you will love her story.

Getting Excited About a Sober Life with Real Sober Mom Danielle The Sober Mom Life

Real Sober Mom Danielle couldn’t imagine a life without alcohol. Though alcohol didn’t play a large role in her upbringing in the Congo with her missionary family, it slowly began to creep into her life after the death of her grandmother who she’d been taking care of in her early 20s in Colorado. Alcohol showed up for Danielle in her grief, and from that point she began to really love the way it made her feel.Drinking was the norm at the school Danielle began to teach at, which cemented it even more deeply into her lifestyle. More and more each year, she leaned on it to get herself through the grief of a miscarriage and the consistent challenges of being a teacher. Danielle knew she needed to quit, but she had no clue what a positive sober life could look like. It wasn’t until she found this podcast that she began to hear stories of women who actually loved their sober lives. After the loss of a close friend this past summer, Danielle knew it was time to quit. So, she began to search for the joy in sobriety. She is now six months sober and she wants to encourage you to keep going! Community makes all the difference.
